IOTA of Ashton is managed by Oban yacht Charters. She is a 2002 Beneteau Oceanis 411. IOTA is a modern high volume cruising yacht which will accommodate 6 people in 3 double cabins. She has a Volvo D2-55, engine. She features a B&G Autopilot, Webasto Central Heating and much more.

Yacht Specifications

THE SALOON

To starboard is the main seating area with a U-shaped seating section and a bench seat opposite. The large central table will provide a comfortable dining experience. The linear galley runs down the port side.

THE GALLEY

There is a large work surface. There is a double stainless steel sink with pressurised hot and cold water via a mixer tap. There is a large top loading fridge integrated into the galley worktop. There is a Gimballed gas stove with 2 burner hob and gas oven.

THE AFT CABINS

The aft cabins are mirrors of each other. Large double berths with good height over the bunks. The cabins have large hanging lockers for storage and coachroof and cockpit portlights for added light.

THE AFT “DAY HEADS”

The heads has a Jabsco manual sea toilet. The shower is integrated into the sink mixer tap.

THE NAVIGATION STATION

The forward facing Chart table has the ships electrical distribution panel. There is everything you will need for sailing locally including Paper Charts, Sailing Almanacs & Cruising Guides. There is a Raymarine Hybrid Touch Chart Plotter at the helm station. This has up to date charts of the area. The vessel is also supplied with a tablet which includes Savvy Navvy, and Antares Large Scale Charts. The vessel is fitted with a B&G Autopilot to help with steering. She has a Raymarine 53 DSC VHF and a Cobra handheld VHF. The vessel is fitted with a Class B AIS Transponder.

THE FORWARD CABIN

This is a large well laid out cabin with plenty of floor space. The double berth is offset to starboard. There is a bench seat to port and large lockers. Forward of the cabin is the en-suite heads with a shower.

THE EN-SUITE HEADS

Accessed via a door in the front of the cabin. There is a shower, a Jabsco manual marine flushing toilet and pressurised hot and cold water via a mixer tap.

DECK & EQUIPMENT

The Main deck security is provided by a double tiered guard wire system that links the pulpit, with two stainless steel quarter pushpits at the stern. There are access gates located amidships.

The large aft cockpit is fitted with two large cockpit lockers and a GRP fixed central table. This table has generous central storage. The large steering wheel is centrally located with a plotter, steering compass and instrument display located on the binnacle. Iota has a sugar sloop stern to allow for easier access the tender or, should you be brave enough, to go swimming!

There is a Lofrans Cayman vertical axis electric anchor windlass located in the anchor locker. Large deck buttons facilitate deploying and retrieving the 20kg Delta anchor and it’s 50m of chain.

IIOTA also has a 20kg CQR anchor to act as a kedge anchor. The vessel is fitted with large foredeck, midship and aft mooring cleats.

IOTA is fitted with rope jammers either side of the companionway in the cockpit as the control lines are lead her for easy handling.

ACCOMMODATION & INTERIOR

The accommodation is laid out to sleep 6 in 3 double cabins.

The forward double cabin has an en-suite heads with two double cabins aft. On the port side of the aft saloon is a day heads with a shower. To starboard there is a forward facing navigation station. Berths and cabin heights are approx. 2m. The interior is well lit with numerous 12v lights.

There is a Webasto diesel fired central heating system installed on board with outlets throughout the vessel.

Yacht Safety & Equipment

Iota of Ashton was built to Category “A” (Ocean) under the Recreational Craft Directive. She is a Coded Vessel under the MGN 280 to Category 2 (60nm from a safe haven) with the YDSA.

This Code provides a comprehensive mandatory equipment list & requires that the vessel is regularly inspected by an approved Coding Surveyor.
